The Dear Jane is a sampler quilt which completed shows the advanced skills of a quilter. Therefore I decided to make this quilt by hand to practise my hand sewing and hand quilting skills. The sampler is based on the original quilt by Jane Stickle and the book made by Brenda Papadakis who was inspired by the quilt. Here is a picture of the original Dear Jane: http://www.dearjane.com/images/stickle.jpg In total there are 169 square pieces, 52 triangle shapes pieces and 4 corner 'kite-shaped' pieces totalling 225 pieces. I am starting my journey with the square pieces. In this gallery I'll regularly update my process on the Dear Jane quilt. This is going to be a fantastic journey :D.
