A dear jane update 
I wrote a post about all the different variations you have with a basic nine patch quilt block and here are the blocks I've used

I think the name of this block is lovely. The nine patch in a nine patch symbolises how a family consists of many different people and all those people are reunited in the bigger nine patch.
Here is the basic block:
