Infinite variety of origami lilies

Artisan Craft Week Hi! I'm Istvan / origamiaround and I have been making origami for a few years now. Since I'm doing a lot of flowers I decided to show you a traditional design, the lily to be specific. This was one of the first models I ever made when I started folding. One of the pros of making origami is that you won't need any special tool, just your hands and some paper. Tools of the trade Regular colored copy paper is perfectly fine, but make sure it has a good quality, because cheap paper will tear easily on intersecting creases, where you fold parts multiple times. I like note blocks because they are easy to handle, I can just sto

Promoting Positivity: Vol 36

Hello everyone! It is time for another Promoting Positivity! :boogie: First, have some shameless self-promotion! Earlier this week, I posted Peer Support: Vol 1, the first volume of a new series. This series is specifically for deviants who need real-world support. They can be as extreme as funds for medical bills after an accident or as simple as receiving words of encouragement during a depressing time. If you think you fall into this category, please read the Promoting Positivity: Peer Support Guidelines to learn how to get a shout out! Remember:This series doesn't guarantee that you will get support. However, this featu

Colors in life

Do you guys remember the Community Engagement Week over at projecteducate (https://www.deviantart.com/projecteducate)? And do you remember the Pitch a Project contest? The winner of this challenge was BellaGBear (https://www.deviantart.com/bellagbear) and her Colours in Life - which is definitely a community project worth paying attention to! Here's what Bella herself says about her project: Colours always help. The brightness of them chases away gloomy and dark thoughts. This project is going to collect all those sunshine in your mind creating projects and to share them with the world. Let's all work together to spread a wave of feelings through DA . How does it work? Copy the text of this journal into a new entry, do

Promoting Positivity: Peer Support Guidelines

Hello everyone! So, I have made an official spreadsheet for this project. There was a poll that was the start of a new feature series called Peer Support. Let me explain; this is where members of the whole DA community who are in need of assistance get a shout out! Who is this for? This is for individuals who are in a real-world crisis, like needing financial help, mental or physical support or need assistance in a real way that goes beyond the online experience. This is not for individuals who just want to get their name out. If you want a shout out, Promoting Positivity and Feature Me are where you need to go. Each volume will ha
